1-11. Installation of Optional Units
1-11-4. BKFV-420
The BKFV-420 is the kit which enables the conversion of the 35 mm 8 perforation film and slide film
with the FVS-1000.
The BKFV-420 is composed of the following parts.
. 35 mm 8P Conversion Lens
. 8P Integrating Sphere
. Slide Adaptor
Installation/Replacement Procedures
1. 35 mm 8P Conversion Lens Replacement
Replace the conversion lens of the FVS-1000 with 35 mm 8P conversion lens.
(As for the installation/replacement procedures, refer to step 12 "Installation of the Lenses" of Section 1-
10 "Installation Procedures".)
2. Integrating Sphere Replacement

. When removing the integrating sphere, be sure to turn OFF the power of the FVS-1000.
. When replacing the 16 mm standard integrating sphere which was installed to the FVS-1000 for 16 mm
use with 8P integrating sphere, the gate base assembly to install the integrating sphere should also be
replaced together.
. Describes the replacement procedures in case of replacing the 35 mm standard integrating sphere with
8P integrating sphere in the followings.
(1) Rotate the two one-touch screws 2 90 degrees in counterclockwise direction, and remove the gate
base (35) assembly from the FVS-1000.
(Refer to Section 3-2-1 "Cleaning the Gate Base (35)/(16) Assembly" for details.)
(2) Loosen the two one-touch screws 1, and remove the 35 mm integrating sphere.
