Note
Before the first use of the automatic mode, the measured data should be deleted from the
device! This avoids transfer of unnecessary data, and resulting long processing time when
there are multiple measurement devices!
To obtain full functionality, a working standard printer is needed! For this purpose, defining a
pdf-writer as the printer is sufficient.
The program closes if no new data are found for 5 min
There are different scenarios for distributing the tasks:
1st scenario: few devices
SICAM Q80 Manager, Autotransfer and Autoreport are carried out on one computer.
Autotransfer start once transfer of data import and evaluation is complete
2nd scenario: distribution over 2 computers
PC1 = configuration computer and analysis
SICAM Q80 Manager configures the devices with UDP message to PC2
Autoreport is started cyclically every day at 6 AM (or multiple times) by the Windows Task Manager in order
to import new data and to generate evaluations. For this purpose, the system accesses PC2 or a network
drive.
PC2 = Data collector, permanently running
Collects the devices' data and saves them temporarily on its own drive or on a network drive.
Any completed mean values and events are thus retrieved very speedily from the devices and stored on a
highly accessible data storage medium, because with multiple devices the probability of network interference
or unavailability increases.
3rd scenario: distribution over multiple computers
Like Scenario 2, but here multiple PCs are used as data collectors due to the wide distribution of device
locations. These all store their data on one central server.
PC1 performs the servers' data import.
