Resetting the Password

If the subscriber forgets their DVD parental control password, you can reset the password. The
DCP501 should not be in any DCP501 setup mode when performing this operation including:

!
Banner Display
!

To reset your DVD parental control password:
On the DCP501 front panel only, press
password. The DCP501 display clears indicating that your action was successful. Switch off the
DCP501 and switch it back on using the
password entry screen to enter a new password.
Steps for resetting your password operate only if a password was previously entered.
