BATTERY : When the gear shift is moved to the REVERSE (R) position, and the
GROUND :
Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-P6400CD or AVH-P6400) features a function that automati-
cally switches to the video input into the video or back camera jack when a back-up
camera is installed on your car. If this is the case, when the gear shift is in the
REVERSE (R) position, the video automatically switches to video or back camera. (The
initial setting is BATTERY. For more details, consult with your dealer.)
If you do not operate the function within about 30 seconds, the display is automatically
returned to the playback display.
If you select BACK UP CAMERA, switching to the correct video setting may not occur. Con-
firm that directly after changing the setting, it changes to VIDEO when the gear shift is
moved to REVERSE from another position.
If you select BACK UP CAMERA, the display changes to VIDEO during normal drivings,
reverse the settings.
If you adjust the "VIDEO ADJUST" of back up camera, selecting the VIDEO in beginning,
you adjust. After that you select BACK UP CAMERA.

■Setting the automatic open mode

To prevent the display from hitting the shift lever of an automatic car when it is in the "P"
(park) position, or when you do not wish opening/closing of the display to be carried out
automatically, you can switch this function ON/OFF.
1 Press 5 or ∞ to select "AUTO FLAP" from the SETUP MENU, and press A.MENU
(AUDIO) button.
2 Press 2 2 2 2 to select the manual.
Press 2 2 2 2 until the OPEN/CLOSE:MANUAL setting appears in the display. Each time you
press a manually set display's EJECT, the display opens or closes.
3 Press 3 to select the auto.
Press 3 until the OPEN/CLOSE:AUTO setting appears in the display. With auto setting,
the display automatically opens or closes when power to Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-
P6400CD or AVH-P6400) is switched ON.
If you do not operate the function within about 30 seconds, the display is automatically
returned to the playback display.
