• If your camcorder is used in a cold place, a
rcsidual image may appear on the LCD screen.
This is not a mallunction.
• While using your camcorder, lhe back of the
LCD screen may heat up. This is nol a
malfunction.
N To clean the LCDscreen
If fingerprints or dust make the LCD screen
dirty, it is reconlmended you use a soft
cloth to clean it. When you use tile LCD
Cleaning Kit (optional), do not apply tile
cleaning liquid directly to tile LCD screen.
Use cleaning paper moistened with the
liquid.

procedure below. It is reconlmended that
you connect your camcorder to the wall
outlet (wall socket) using the supplied AC
Adaptor during the operation.

[CALIBRATION].
@ Touch "x" displayed on the screen 3 times
with the corner of a "Memory Stick PRO
Duo" or the like. The position of "x"
changes.
Touch [CANCEL] to canceh
If you did not press tile right spot, try tile
calibration again.

calibralion. Doing so may damage the LCD
screen.
• You cannot calibrate lhe LCD screen if il is
rotated, or closed with the screen htcing out.
Onhandling the casing
• It tile casing is soiled, clean the camcorder hody
with a soft cloth liglaly moistened wilh water,
and then wipe the casing with a dry soft cloth.
• Avoid the lk_llowing 1o avoid damage to lhe
finish:
Using chemicals such as thinner, benzine,
alcohol, chemical cloths, repellenl, inseclicide
and sunscrcen

Onthepickup lens
• Do not touch the lens inside tile disc cover.
Keep the disc cover closed except when
inserting and removing tile disc, to keq) dust
out.
• When your camcorder does not work because
lhe pickup lens is dirly, clean it with a camera
blower (optional). Do not touch the pickup lens
dilv(_ly during cleaning, because lhis may cause
tile camcorder to malflmction.

cloth in the lollowing instances:
When there arc fingerl?rints on lhe lens
surluce.
In hot or humid locations
When the lens is exposed to salty air such as
at the seaside.

little dirt or dust.
• To prevenl mold, periodically clean lhe lens as
described above. It is recommended that you
