16. AJ-YAD455P Service Information
16-1. Node Unique ID (UID) number Setting Procedure
<Confirmation of UID number>
AJ-YAD455 has "Node Unique ID" for IEEE1394 I/F. This number is displayed in the DIF STATUS MENU.
1.
Press the "DIAG" button, then open the Warning page.
2.
Press the "4" button twice to open the DIF STATUS page.
3.
The UID number is displayed on the bottom side of the menu.

1. Connect the AJ-D455P, the "Flash memory version up tool (VFK1304A)", and the personal computer as
shown below. Pay attention not to confuse the connection direction (rear, front) for the flat cable of the tool
(VFK1304A). And set the VFK1304A to "STRAIGHT CABLE" mode as shown the backside of this tool.

2. Set the DIP-SW1 (SW301) and SW2 (SW701) as follows.
SW1 (SW301) = No.1:ON / NO.2-8:OFF
SW2 (SW701) = No.1:ON / No.2:OFF / No.3:OFF / No.4:ON
3. Turn the power of personal computer on.
4. Start up the Hyper Terminal of Windows 95/98 on the personal computer.
(Programs of Windows → Accessories → Hyper Terminal → Hypertrm)
Name the Hyper Terminal "1394", and select an icon.
Select the connection method. (Connecting using: Direct to COM*)
Perform settings of the Port. (Bits per second: 9600, Data bits: 8, Parity: None, Stop bits: 1, Flow control:
None)
File → Properties → Settings → ASCII Setup → put a mark on the "Append line feeds to incoming line ends"
of ASCII Receiving.
5. Turn the power of AJ-D455P on.
6. The initial screen of Debug Monitor appears on the Hyper Terminal screen.

7. Press the Enter key, and confirm that "MON >>" appears.
8. Input the UID command "MON >>uid ********", which is the 8 digits of the second half of the UID. (The 8 digits
of the first half is always 00804582.)
9. Confirm that "&OK" and "MON >>" appear.
10. Close the software "Hyper Terminal". Turn the power of AJ-D455P off.
11. Set the SW1and 2 to original position.
