Connection
Connect connection C/L+ of the braking module with terminal DCP and connection D/L of
the braking module with terminal DCN of the DC link rectifier adapter or DC link adapter.
The connection must be made with a cross-section of 95 mm
circuit-proof installation). The electric strength of the cable must be rated for the line
voltage.
Establish protective conductor connection between S120 drive group and braking module

In the MASTERDRIVES braking module, switch S1 should be used for resetting the
response threshhold in connection with a SINAMICS S120 Booksize format drive group in
the "high" setting (factory setting). This places the switch-on threshhold at 757 V

Safety information

Risk of electric shock. A hazardous voltage is present for up to 5 minutes after the power
supply has been switched-off.
It is only permissible to open the protective cover after this time has expired.
When opening the protective cover for the DC link, you must activate the unlocking.
A suitable tool (e.g. screwdriver) must be used for this purpose.
The components must only be operated when the protective cover of the DC link is closed.
Damaged components must not be used any further. Otherwise this could result in
secondary damage or accidents.
The DC link discharge voltage hazard warning in the local language must be attached to all
of the components.
A set of labels in 16 languages is supplied with the component.
With a connected braking resistor, the Braking Module is ground-fault proof.
