12 TROUBLESHOOTING

All troubleshooting actions may only be done by the installer.
C A U T I O N
When water leakage occurs, stop operation and contact your
service contractor.
If you smell or see white smoke from the unit, stop the system
and contact your service contractor.
If safety device is activated, stop the unit and find out why
it is activated before restarting the operation. Under no
circumstances may safety devices be bridged or changed by
another one not supplied by HITACHI.

NO OPERATION
Check whether the set temperature of YUTAKI S80 system is
at the correct temperature.
Check electrical connection from LCD controller and DHW
tank (Fuse or circuit breaker operation)
Check water temperature and possible thermostat cut-out ac-
tivation (if higher than 90ºC > thermostat cut-out)
Check water pressure and water flow (at least 0.1MPa.)

Alarm code indication (by remote control switch)
When a system alarm occurs it will be displayed on the LCD controller, with the alarm indication and the alarm code.

DHW tank electric heater "emergency" operation
The domestic hot water tank can be heated by means of an internal heater in the event of malfunction of either the outdoor or the
indoor unit. A dedicated switch (SW1) is used to activate this function. This switch (SW1) is located at the front cover of the electrical
box (accessible by removing the indoor unit front cover) and it is in "Automatic" operation by factory setting.
In order to activate the internal heater of the tank, select the "emergency" operation in the switch. In this case, the temperature setting
shall be performed through the heater's thermostat. Select the temperature with the temperature regulator located at the front side of
the tank (maximum position is 85ºC).

Check that manual thermostat of DHWT are set at maximum
water set point by YUTAKI S80 system control (Check water
set point by Anti-Legionella).

NOT HEATING WELL
Check for obstruction of water flow inside water circuit.
Check if all the system is totally air purged.
Check if the water pressure conditions is not within the
operating range.
Check electrical connection from LCD controller and DHWT.
In case of non-functioning heater should be checked.


If the trouble still remains even after checking the above items,
contact your service contractor and provide the following data:
