5.2 Confirmation of Performance Specifications

Install the instrument as instructed in Appendix 1.

Turn on the power switch of this detector and make sure
LED of "POWER" is on.

Start up CDS, and confirm that the diode array detector is
in the "Ready" status on the instrument status window.
At the time of installation, performance should be checked under
the following conditions.
Installation in a place where room temperature is within 20 to
30 C and will not change beyond 2 C (free from direct
reception of the air blown from an air-conditioner or the like).
Warm-up for 1 hour or longer.
Flow cell: standard flow cell
NOTE:
If contaminants are left in a flow cell, proper
performance check may be impossible. If the inside of
flow cell is contaminated, wash the cell (referring to
"checking and cleaning of flow cell" in 5.4.1) before use.
For check of noise level, use data acquired when baseline
drift is inconspicuous.
