6 Useful information
Freeport commands
Additionally or alternatively to the settings in the hardware configuration (see
chapter 6.2,
commands overwrite the settings of the hardware configuration:
Port_Config
You can configure the RS232 interface with the command Port_Config (port
configuration)
Change port parameters, such as the data transmission rate, via the user
program during operation.
Receive_Config
With the Receive_Config command (Receive configuration), you can change
serial receive parameters in the user program during operation. This command
configures the conditions that mark the start and end of received data.
Send_Config
With the Send_Config command (send configuration), you may change serial
transfer parameters in the user program during operation. This command
configures the start and end identifiers that are sent with a telegram.
Use the following commands to receive data from or send data to a serial terminal:
Receive_P2P
The command Receive_P2P (receive data via point-to-point communication)
checks the telegrams that were received in the CM PtP communication
module. If a telegram is available, it is transferred from the CM PtP
communication module to the CPU.
Send_P2P
The Send_P2P command (send point-to-point data) starts the transmission of
data and transfers the content of the assigned buffer to the communication
module.
If your serial terminal uses companion signals, you can transmit and read them
with the following commands, unless automatic operation is parameterized:
Signal_Set
Signal_Get
