3-1. Adjustment Data Initialization

Initialize the adjustment values for the following items
before starting the adjustment. (It may not be possible
to obtain the best values if the adjustment is
performed without the initialized values.)
<For AJ-SD955A>
Set "070 TV SYSTEM" of the Setup Menu to "525".
1. Insert the DVCPRO alignment tape.
(VFM3580KM(L)).
2. Press the MENU button to open the Service
Menu.
3. Open "B00: RF ADJUST" in the Service Menu.
4. Open "P00: DVCPRO 50M ADJUST" in the
Service Menu.
5. Open "P-4 DEFAULT" in the Service Menu.
6. Select "INIT LOAD". Press the SET button to
complete the initialization of the 50M mode
adjustment values.
7. Press the MENU button to return to the RF
ADJUST menu.
8. Open "Q00: DVCPRO 25M ADJUST" in the
Service Menu.
9. Open "Q-4 DEFAULT" in the Service Menu.
10. Select "INIT LOAD" and press the SET button to
complete the initialization of the 25M mode
adjustment values.
11. Press the MENU button to return to the RF
ADJUST menu.
12. Open "R00: DV ADJUST" in the Service Menu.
13. Open "R-4 DEFAULT" in the Service Menu.
14. Select "INIT LOAD" and press the SET button to
complete the initialization of the DV mode
adjustment values.

<DVCPRO 50M ADJUST (PB)>
1. Open B00: RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2. Open P00: DVCPRO 50M ADJUST in the
Service Menu.
3. Open P-2: PB ADJUST in the Service Menu.
4. Place the unit to Eject condition.
5. Select P53: IC READ and change the setting
from "OFF" to "SINGLE".
6. Press the SET button so that P27, 28: VCO L(R)
adjustment value is automatically set. (Confirm
that the P27, 28: VCO L(R) adjustment value is
changed from default value)
7. Change the setting of P53: IC READ from
"SINGLE" to "OFF" and press the "SET"
button.
<DVCPRO 50M ADJUST (RP)>
1. Open B00: RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2. Open P00: DVCPRO 50M ADJUST in the
Service Menu.
3. Open P-3: RP ADJUST in the Service Menu.
4. Place the unit to Eject condition.
5. Select P53: IC READ and change the setting
from "OFF" to "SINGLE".
6. Press the SET button so that P27, 28: VCO L(R)
adjustment value is automatically set. (Confirm
that the P27, 28: VCO L(R) adjustment value is
changed from default value)
7. Change the setting of P53: IC READ from
"SINGLE" to "OFF" and press the "SET"
button.
<DVCPRO 25M ADJUST (PB)>
1. Open B00: RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2. Open Q00: DVCPRO 25M ADJUST in the
Service Menu.
3. Open Q-2: PB ADJUST in the Service Menu.
4. Place the unit to Eject condition.
5. Select Q53: IC READ and change the setting
from "OFF" to "SINGLE".
6. Press the SET button so that Q27, 28: VCO L(R)
adjustment value is automatically set. (Confirm
that the Q27, 28: VCO L(R) adjustment value is
changed from default value)
7. Change the setting of Q53: IC READ from
"SINGLE" to "OFF" and press the "SET"
button.
<DVCPRO 25M ADJUST (RP)>
1. Open B00: RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2. Open Q00: DVCPRO 25M ADJUST in the
Service Menu.
3. Open Q-3: RP ADJUST in the Service Menu.
4. Place the unit to Eject condition.
5. Select Q53: IC READ and change the setting
from "OFF" to "SINGLE".
6. Press the SET button so that Q27, 28: VCO L(R)
adjustment value is automatically set. (Confirm
that the Q27, 28: VCO L(R) adjustment value is
changed from default value)
7. Change the setting of Q53: IC READ from
"SINGLE" to "OFF" and press the "SET"
button.
<DV ADJUST>
1. Open B00: RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2. Open R00: DV ADJUST in the Service Menu.
3. Open R-3: RP ADJUST in the Service Menu.
4. Place the unit to Eject condition.
5. Select R53: IC READ and change the setting
from "OFF" to "SINGLE".
6. Press the SET button so that R27, 28: VCO L(R)
adjustment value is automatically set. (Confirm
that the R27, 28: VCO L(R) adjustment value is
changed from default value)
7. Change the setting of R53: IC READ from
"SINGLE" to "OFF" and press the "SET"
button.
