The support of the FlexC protocol by MM8000/MK8000 systems has the following
restriction:
The redundancy mechanism is not supported.
l
Only the fixed key encryption method is supported ( AutoEncryption is not
l
supported).
If you use the FlexC protocol, take note also of the following:
You can reset fault events (like Warning Fault , Hold Up Fault , and Detector
l
Fault ) only if the grade of the panel is set to Unrestricted or Grade 2.
You can use the Restore Alarm command of the SPC configuration tool
instead.

Local SPC settings: technical notes

The SPC physical and logical configuration is first defined for the hardware unit set-
up using the SPC configuration tool (SPC Pro or the web-based tool) and then
ported to the Composer environment using an export file (SigNET X Configuration
File). The configuration instructions, which are relating to the SPC Pro interface,
are different for the FlexC and the EDP protocol.
Note: The SPC configuration tool is a web application that works with an Internet
browser. The most common browser, Internet Explorer (IE), requires however a
special setting: in Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab, in the option list,
search for the Security options and enable Do not save encrypted pages to disk.
