10.2 Cooking times

Cooking times depend on the freshness and
quality of the food, the size of the pieces,
and personal preference (al dente or well
done).
To transfer the cooking times from conven-
tional recipes to cooking with the Multi-Pot,
apply the following rules of thumb:
-
When cooking at high pressure (pres-
sure level High 54), the cooking time is
reduced by approx. half.
Example:
A recipe calls for a cooking time of
90 minutes. At pressure level High 54,
for the Multi-Pot this means:
1/2 of 90 min. = 45 minutes.
-
When cooking at low pressure (pressure
level Low 56), the cooking time is re-
 2.
duced to approx. two thirds.
Example:
A recipe calls for a cooking time of
90 minutes. At pressure level Low 56,
for the Multi-Pot this means:
2/3 of 90 min. = 60 minutes.
-
When cooking without pressure (pres-
sure valve 1 open), the cooking time re-
mains the same.
NOTES:
• Further notes on cooking times can be
found in chapter "Individual cooking
programs" on page 63.
• If you use larger quantities than indicat-
ed in the cooking time tables, the cook-
ing times can be extended as required.
Normal household portions can gener-
ally be cooked without extension of the
cooking times.
