Rear Panel Components

The rear of t he DSN-1100 st orage syst em enclosure has t he f ollowing component s:
Dat a port s - f our 1 GbE RJ-45 iSCSI dat a port s. Each iSCSI dat a port has port speed and

port act ivit y LEDs (see Figure 2-4, Figure 2-5 and Table 2-5).
Management port ( Mgmt 10/ 100 ) - one 10/ 100 RJ-45 management port is locat ed t o t he

right of t he f our iSCSI dat a port s. The management port has port speed and port act ivit y
LEDs (see Figure 2-4, Figure 2-5, and Table 2-6).
Diagnost ic port ( Diagnostic Port ) - one 9600 bps RS-232-C DB9 diagnost ic port is locat ed

t o t he right of t he management port . This requires a male-t o-f emale st raight -t hrough
cable provided wit h t he syst em.
Reset swit ch – t his is hidden wit hin a small hole. Please use t he t ip of a pen or a paper

clip t o reset t he syst em. Not e: This reboot s t he syst em and does not reset t he unit t o
init ial f act ory set t ings. (see Figure 2-4 and Table 2-4)
Power - a power recept acle is locat ed at t he bot t om of t he rear panel.

Securit y lock slot – Recept acle f it s t he most common securit y lock.

