3 Operating Instructions

1.
Check the lifting tackle for completeness, and
visible damages such as signs of wear,
deformation, breakages, cracks, tears and
corrosion damages prior to each use. Do no use the
lifting equipment when defects are noted and
discard it immediately.
2.
Check the interior hexagon screw of the end stop
of the base support for proper function.
3.
Check the securing device (splint) of the shackle
bolt.
4.
Carry out the necessary preparation work for the
use of the lifting tackle in accordance with the
workshop manuals.
5.
Observe the alignment of the support for the load
hook.
6.
Attach the lifting tackle 3448 to the workshop
crane (e.g. VAS 6100) as described in the
workshop manuals.
WARNING
Risk through falling load!
Incorrect attachment of the lifting tackle may result in
a tilting or falling load. This could result in serious
injuries and severe damage to materials.
Fasten the lifting tackle to the workshop crane
exactly as described in the workshop manuals.
Check the shackle bolt securing (splint).
Close the load hook securing completely.
Check the secure seat of the lifting tackle 3448 prior
to lifting the load.
7.
Ensure a secure stand or hold of the load when
setting down.
8.
Carry out further work as described in the
workshop manuals.
9.
Ensure that all parts of the special tool have been
removed after completing the repair work.

4 Inspection and maintenance

Check the lifting tackle for completeness, and visible

Spare parts are available on request. Only use
original replacement parts.
