Using the Cylinder Lock

WARNING
The thrust frame may lower when it is in the
raised position, causing serious injury or
death.
Install the cylinder lock before performing
maintenance that requires the thrust frame
to be raised.
Installing the Cylinder Lock
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Lower the thrust frame to the fully-lowered
position.
3.
Shut off the engine.
4.
Position the cylinder lock over the cylinder rod
(Figure
75).
5.
Secure the cylinder lock with the cotter pin and
clevis pin

Lubrication

Greasing the Machine

Service Interval: Before each use or daily (Grease
Grease type: General-purpose grease.
Total number of grease fittings: 51
1.
Clean the grease fittings with a rag.
2.
Connect a grease gun to each fitting.
3.
Pump grease into the fittings until grease begins
to ooze out of the bearings (approximately 3
pumps).
4.
Wipe up any excess grease.
