3.1

Application

This accessory set contains the CRI Piezo return flow
module, adapter accessory (mechanical connection
adapters and electrical adapter cables to connect and
check Bosch Piezo common rail injectors (hereinafter
referred to as CRI Piezo) with EPS 200.
The EPS 200 database contains finished test sequences
for testing CRI Piezo.
3.2

Prerequisites

Tester for nozzle-and-holder assemblies and injec-
tors EPS 200.
R
The following is required for checking CRI Piezo on
the EPS 200:

Basic set 1 687 010 397 installed in the EPS 200
(installation instructions 1 689 978 601).
$
Extension set 1 687 010 393 installed in the
EPS 200.
R
We recommend user training
of Piezo common rail injectors (CRI Piezo).
R
Good knowledge of the functioning of CRI Piezo and
the handling and creation of test sequences using
the EPS 200 system software.
R
Only check cleaned and complete CRI Piezo.
R
Do not clamp and test damaged and/or heavily cor-
roded CRI Piezo.

Initial commissioning

If the extension set for Piezo injectors 1 687 010 393
is installed at the same time as the basic set
1 687 010 397, then the modification instructions
1 689 978 601 from the basic set 1 687 010 397
must be used.

Retrofitting is only to be performed by qualified and
trained Service personnel from Robert Bosch GmbH
or organizations commissioned by Robert Bosch
GmbH. No warranty claims will be accepted if devic-
es have been opened or modified by non-authorized
persons.
