6.5.2 Registering Network Variables
Start the Edit Network Variable screen from the Edit Transmission Block screen and
register the network variable name in common memory for each transmission block.

In the Edit Transmission Block screen, press the [Open Network] button to open the
Edit Network Variable screen.
(2)
Release the edit lock.
(3)
Register the network variables to the transmission block in the upper half of the Edit
Network screen.
The transmission blocks can be selected from the [Talker Block] pull down menu.

Register the network variables as input data in the bottom half of the Edit Network
screen.
Select the controller to input the network variable from the [In Node] and [In Controller]
pull down menu.
(5)
Select the network variable to be output in the top half of the Edit Network screen and
press the [Assign to Inputs] button to register in the bottom half of the screen.
Note1: The FL-net network variables are assigned to the TL-S20 type I/Q register of each
station. The TL-S20 type I/Q register is shared by the TOSLINE-S20 module,
DeviceNet module, Profibus module and Fl-net module. If the TL-S20 type I/Q
register is insufficient, expand the I/O connection area.
Refer to Engineering Tool 2 Operation Manual for information on how to change
the I/O connection area.
