4. Quad Button (QUAD)
This button should be used in the VTR playback mode.
The single playback picture turns to quad playback pic-
ture by pressing this button once.
5. VTR/Camera Selection Button (VTR/CAM)
Either the camera picture or the VTR playback picture
can be selected by pressing this button.
LED On : VTR playback picture through function of WJ-
FS28.
LED Off : Camera picture.
6. Menu Button (MENU)
This button should be pressed to enter the menu mode
or escape from the menu mode.
To activate this function, press this button more than 2
sec.
7. Microphone Level Controls (MIC LEVEL 1–4)
Used to adjust the audio level of the microphones.
1.
Adjusts the audio level of the microphone 1.
2.
Adjusts the audio level of the microphone 2.
3.
Adjusts the audio level of the microphone 3.
4.
Adjusts the audio level of the microphone 4.
8. Camera Input Connectors (CAMERA IN 1–4)
(BNC type)
The camera signals are supplied to these connectors.
Notes : In this unit, the specific control signal is added
on the Vertical Blanking for VTR recording so that any
other control signals located on the Vertical Blanking
can not be acceptable for this unit.
The picture will be disturbed in the switching (sequen-
tial) due to the non-synchronized input connector.
9. Camera Output Connectors (CAMERA OUT)
(BNC type)
A looping through of the input signals are provided at
these connectors.
When connecting a coaxial cable to this connector, the
high impedance video loop is automatically selected.
10. Monitor Output Connector (MONITOR OUT)
(BNC type)
A composite video signal is provided to this connector
for monitoring. The sequential switching picture, VTR
playback picture and setting up of Menus are displayed.
11. Playback Input Jack (PLAY IN) (Pin-jack)
The playback signal from VTR is supplied to this con-
nector. When connecting a coaxial cable for the
Playback Output Connector, the high impedance video
loop is automatically selected. At all other times this
connector is automatically terminated with 75 ohms.
12. Recording Output Jack (REC OUT) (Pin-jack)
The recording signal for the VTR is provided via this
connector.
13. Camera Switching Input Jack (CAMERA SW IN)
(Pin-jack)
The camera switching signal from VTR is supplied to
this connector.
14. Audio Input Connector (AUDIO IN L/R) (Pin-
jack)
Accepts the audio signal from the VTR.
15. Audio Output Connector (AUDIO OUT L/R)
(Pin-jack)
Supplies the audio signal to the VTR.
16. Audio Output Monitor Connector (AUDIO OUT
MONITOR) (Pin-jack)
Supplies the audio signal to the Video Monitor.
17. Microphone Connectors (MIC 1-4) (Phone-jack)
Accepts the audio signal from the microphone for the
recording.
Notes:
Be sure to supply the audio signal of the Camera 1 –
4 to the correct Microphone Connector 1 – 4.
The maximum cable length for the microphone exten-
sion should be within 20 m.
