ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

1. Test Equipments Required
The following Test Equipments are required for adjust-
ment of the Digital Video Multiplexer WJ-FS28.
Underscanned Colour Video Monitor
Vectorscope
Waveform Monitor
PAL Signal Generator
Colour Bar Signal
Ramp Signal (with and without Carrier)
Composite Sync Signal (300 mV Negative Polarity)
Sweep Signal or Multi Burst Signal (more than 10MHz)
Oscilloscope
Frequency Counter
Digital Voltmeter
PAL Black and White Camera
2. Disassembling Procedure for the
Adjustment
Referring to Fig. 2-1, remove six screws that secure the
Upper Cover and remove the Upper Cover.
Remove six screws.

3. Connection and Setting up for
Adjustment
3.1. Connection
Fig. 3-1 shows the connecting diagram for adjustment of
the WJ-FS28.

WJ-FS28
Connect the Underscanned Colour Video Monitor through
the Vectorscope and Waveform Monitor to the Recording
Output Jack on the Rear Panel of the WJ-FS28.
Terminate the input terminal of the Underscanned Colour
Video Monitor with 75Ω.
Connect the Signal Generator to the Camera Input
Connectors 1, 2 and 3 on the Rear Panel of the WJ-FS28.
Connect the prove of the Digital Voltmeter, Oscilloscope
or Frequency Counter at the desired Test Point in each
adjustment step.
3.2. Setting Up
This adjustment should be done after 30 minutes warm up
of the WJ-FS28.
Setting of the Switches for adjustment are as follows:
<Front Panel>
VTR/Camera Selection Switch ...............................Camera
Microphone Level Controls ...................Mechanical Center
<Main Board>
SW901 (Picture Stability)...............................................ON
SW501 (Microphone 1)..................................................0
SW502 (Microphone 2)..................................................0
SW503 (Microphone 3)..................................................0
SW504 (Microphone 4)..................................................0
Turn the Power Switch on while pressing the Cursor ( )
and SELECT (–) buttons simultaneously, ring the buzzer
for one second and enter the Test Mode.
The adjustments should be done with this condition,
unless otherwise specified.
Turn the Power Switch off to quit from the Test Mode.
