You can increase the number of RS-485 interfaces up to eight
by using the AMC MUX-EXT expansion module for each addi-
tional interface. Connect the AMC MUX and AMC MUX-EXT
using the plug-and-socket connection. (Figure 4.2). The AMC
MUX module provides power and RS-232 signals to the AMC
MUX-EXT modules. Connect the extension modules on either
the right or left sides of the AMC MUX module.
