Operation tips

Fire hazard!
Do not leave the cooktop unattended
whilst it is being used.
A rangehood or a household
extraction system (not recirculating)
must be operated whenever the
cooktop is in use.

Rapid ignition system

The gas cooktop is equipped with a
rapid ignition system with the following
features:
– Rapid ignition without the need to
push and hold the control knob.
– Automatic re-ignition
If the flame is extinguished, e.g. by a
draught, the burner is automatically
relit. If re-ignition is unsuccessful, the
gas supply is automatically cut off
(see "Ignition safety device").

Ignition safety device

The gas cooktop is equipped with an
ignition safety device. If a flame is
extinguished, for example due to food
boiling over or a sudden draught, and
automatic re-ignition has been
unsuccessful, the illuminated ring on
the control knob will flash. The control
knob for the Teppan Yaki plate is also
equipped with an illuminated ring. This
illuminated ring does not flash if re-
ignition is unsuccessful.
In any case, the gas supply is cut off
to prevent gas from escaping.
The cooktop can be used again after
approx. 1.5 seconds if the control knob
is turned to the  position (Off).
