6 Administration
6.1 Management of the organization
Remote access session type
By selecting a session type, the administrator can define the functions that can be
used in a teleservice session for the entire organization.
The exact scope of functions of the individual session types can be found in the
following documentation: Operating Manual SINUMERIK Integrate MMT, MMP,
AMM/E, AMC, AMB, AMP.
PLC performance index
Use the PLC performance index to define the performance that may be used for
the PLC triggers. Each PLC trigger uses a certain number of performance points.
In this way you can control to what extent the PLC may be occupied by the
SINUMERIK Integrate PLC triggers. The PLC performance index has to be defined
individually by the machine manufacturer.
Block new configurations
This function serves to only release new server versions for all machines after they
have been tested on single machines. For this purpose, this function allows you to
switch all machines from "ONLINE" to "STANDBY" synchronization mode to
temporarily prevent any changes at the client scripts by new server versions.
Note
In "standby", the machine will continue to synchronize regularly and check
whether any online requests are pending. Client jobs are neither started nor
completed, and the job machine will not be restarted either due to changed
scripts.
Notice
When restarting the machine, it will in any case get the new boot script from the
server, regardless of these settings. Thereafter, also the new scripts will be
started.
