1. Remove the four screws that secure the purge tube to the electrodes of the detector.
2. Pull the purge tube about 1 inch away from the detector assembly and carefully remove
the wires from the electrodes.
3. The purge tube with its bushing and gasket, EC cover plate, and igniter assembly will not
be reused. Set these items aside. However, the screws that were used to connect the tube
to the detector will be reused.
4. Remove the setscrew for the FID bottom body to separate the detector heater and mounting
plate.
5. Remove the old heater assembly. (2021266) This will not be reused.
