Using the app
– [Strobe Light & Sound]: Allows you to select whether the siren's strobe light flashes and its siren
sounds when the alarm system is triggered.
– [Installation Test]: Allows you to sound the siren as a test.
– [Status LED]: This setting determines whether the device's LED indicator lights or is disabled.
Device profiles for glass break sensors

From the [Home Network] app home screen, tap [Settings] ® [Device Profiles] ® [Glass Break
Sensor].

Select the device that you want to change settings for.

Change the settings as desired, and then tap [OK].
– [Location]: This setting determines the location name assigned to the device.
– [Name]: This setting determines the name assigned to the device.
– [Detection Test]: Use this feature to simulate a glass break and trigger the sensor without actually
breaking glass.

R The sensor's LED indicator lights according to its status. See "Glass break sensor LED
indicator", Page 42.

Point your mobile device's speaker toward the center of the sensor, and hold your mobile
device approximately 5-10 cm (approximately 2-4 inches) from the sensor.

Tap [Play].

Confirm that the sensor's LED indicator lights in red to indicate that it has detected the sound
of breaking glass.
R If the LED indicator does not light in red, confirm the following and try again.
– Make sure your mobile device's speaker volume is set to the highest setting.
iPhone, iPad
Use your mobile device's volume controls to increase the volume.
Android devices
Adjust the volume used for alerts. This setting can be found in your mobile device's
[Settings] app.
– Remove your mobile device from its case (if applicable).
– Make sure the surrounding environment is quiet, with no loud background noise (such as
the sound from a TV).

Tap [Cancel] when finished.

R The sensor's LED indicator turns off.
Note:
R This procedure does not guarantee that the sensor will always perform as expected.
R The sensor may not detect the test sound depending on the characteristics of your mobile
device's speaker (tone, volume, etc.), the characteristics of the surrounding environment
(presence of background noise, volume of background noise, etc.).
Device profiles for water leak sensors

From the [Home Network] app home screen, tap [Settings] ® [Device Profiles] ® [Water Leak
Sensor].

Select the device that you want to change settings for.
