Weatherproof the connections as follows.
Good weatherproofing is the key to antennas that work well in all

weather conditions. If water or moisture enters the cable or connector, it
will significantly reduce the signal levels and can ruin the cable and
connectors.

Cut an 8" strip of weatherproofing tape and remove the plastic
backing from the tape.
