Internet connection cannot be
established
Cause

There is a problem with line
type.
(PPPoE method ADSL
connection only)
The IP address given by the
provider conflicts with the
IP address specified for the
product.
The network setting of the PC
is inappropriate.
The line, provider, or the Web
server is overloaded.

Remedy
Depending on the type of ADSL line,
with the standard setting, you cannot
receive some kind of homepage data
or the data reception rate is very slow.
Disconnect the connection, and in
the "Basic configuration page", click
"Advanced settings" - "Detailed basic
connection setting". In the "Modify
provider" screen, enter a value, such
as 1454, for MTU and then reconnect.
In the "Basic configuration page" -
"Configure LAN" screen, change the
IP address of the product so as not to
conflict with the IP address given by
the provider (page 45). In this case,
various filters of the product must be
applied again.
• Try again to set the LAN board and
LAN card settings, and restart the
PC.
• Reacquire the IP address.
Transmission rate is very slow in some
time zones. If the rate remains very
slow for a long period of time compared
to the line speed, contact your carrier
or provider.
