Poor Signal / Edge Of Range Warning
Indication
You will be prompted with the Poor Signal / Edge Of Range Warning
Indication if the WRSM is about to lose the wireless link at Bluetooth
fringe area.
This warning indication will turn off if the user moves closer or if the
signal quality improves.
Refer to Table 2.6 below for the Poor Signal / Edge Of Range Indication:

You can select additional options for the Edge of Range indication as
below via APS Tool:
•
Edge of Range Open Speaker – The WRSM enables the speaker
when Edge of Range is detected. You are able to mute/unmute the
WRSM normally. Pressing the volume lever towards the
switch off the speaker temporarily until it is switched on to play other
sounds.
•
Edge of Range Auto Mute Timeout – The WRSM mutes and plays
"Audio OFF" 30 seconds after the Edge of Range indication appears.
You are able to unmute normally by pressing the volume lever to the
or press the PTT button. Otherwise, the WRSM unmutes
automatically when it is back in range.
•
Edge of Range PTT Button Lockout – When the WRSM is in the
Edge of Range state, the PTT button will be locked. Pressing the
PTT button will play a "Bad Bonk" tone. To unlock, press the PTT
button again within 30 seconds and it will begin to transmit as
normal. After 30 seconds, the PTT button will be locked again.
