CLEANING
THE P OWER
HEAD
•Stop the motor and d isconnect
from power supply.
•Clean dirt and d ebris
from the power head using a
damp cloth with a mild d etergent.
NOTE:
Do not use a ny s trong detergents
on
the plastic
housing
or the handle.
They can b e
damaged
by certain
aromatic
oils s uch as pine a nd
lemon,
and b y solvents
such as kerosene.
STORING
THE T RIMMER
HEAD
•Store the t rimmer
head inawell-ventilated
place
that isinaccessible
tochildren.
•Keep away from corrosive
agents
such as garden
chemicals
and d eicing
salts.
PROBLEM
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Motor fails to start when switch
trigger is depressed
Power cord is not plugged in
Power cord connection is loose
Receptacle has no power
available
Attach extension cord
Securely install the power cord to the
trimmer plug
Be sure that the extension cord has
no other connections except to the
trimmer.
Spool cap witt not come off
The spool cap is not being turned
in the correct direction
The inner spool cap bolt may be
stripped, which will not allow the
cap to be removed.
The spool cap removes in a clockwise
rotation and tightens in a counter-
clockwise rotation
The spool cap will have to be fully
replaced. To remove the cap if it is
stripped catt the tott free customer hetp
line for assistance: 1-888-266-7096
Line does not advance
There is no tine in the spool
housing o
Add new spool line or spool
replacement cartridge
Motor runs but the spool or
attachment does not run
Line is tangled inside the spool
housing
Motor shaft is not properly
connected to the trimmer shaft.
Disconnect the motor shaft assembly,
then reconnect it to the lower trimmer
shaft. Check to see if it works. If
it does not work catt the tott free
