Caution: When you insert the S Pen into the slot, insert the S Pen's nib first. Failure to do so can
cause the S Pen to become stuck. Forcefully detaching the S Pen from the slot may cause damage
to the S Pen and your device.

S Pen Options

Configure S Pen settings, including options for gestures and sounds, and for tracking S Pen when it
is not stored in your phone.
To access S Pen Settings, tap Apps

Air View

Hover the S Pen over items on the screen to display more information:
Information preview: Preview information, extend text, or enlarge pictures by hovering your

pen over the screens.
Icon labels: View the labels of icons by hovering your pen over them.

List scrolling: Scroll up or down lists by holding the pen over the top or bottom edge of the
n
screen.
Link preview: Hover your pen over a link to preview the linked content.

Air menu: Hover your pen over the action button to attach or insert content, attach contacts, or
n
add recipients to a message.
Note: The preview function is only available when the S Pen's pointer is a solid color.

Enable Air view features, and learn about using them.
From home, tap Apps

Air Command

Air command allows you to quickly activate frequently-used applications or perform actions.
To launch the Air command menu, remove the S Pen from the S Pen slot, hold the S Pen near

the screen so that the pointer appears, and then press the S Pen button once.
