To fix a blocked Shark S3251 steam mop that produces hot steam from the top while the pad remains cold, try the following steps:
1. Turn Off and Unplug – Ensure the mop is unplugged and completely cool before troubleshooting. 2. Check the Nozzle – A blockage in the steam nozzle may be preventing steam from reaching the pad. Use a straightened paperclip or a cleaning tool to clear any debris. 3. Inspect the Water Tank – Ensure the tank has water and is properly attached. 4. Clean the Steam Path – Mineral buildup can block the steam flow. Run a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water through the system, then rinse with clean water. 5. Check the Cleaning Pad – Ensure the pad is attached correctly and is not too dirty or clogged.
If the issue persists, contact Shark customer service for further assistance.
