12.1 DVR Troubleshooting
12.1.1 No image displayed on the monitor after the device is starting
up normally
Possible Reasons:
No VGA or HDMI connections.
•
Connection cable is damaged.
•
Input mode of the monitor is incorrect.
•
Steps:
1. Verify the DVR is connected to the monitor with an HDMI or VGA cable. If not, connect the DVR to a monitor and reboot.
2. Verify the connecting cable is good. If there is still no image displayed after rebooting, verify that the connecting cable is good;
change the cable of necessary, and try again.
3. Verify that the input mode of the monitor is correct is set to the interface of the DVR. Verifty that the input mode of the monitor
matches the output mode of the device (e.g. if the output mode of DVR is HDMI output, then the input mode of monitor must
be the HDMI input). And if not, please modify the input mode of monitor.
4. If the fault is not solved by the steps above, contact your product supplier for technical support assistance.
12.1.2 DVR beeps after startup
Possible reasons:
No HDD is installed in the device.
•
The installed HDD has not been initialized.
•
The installed HDD is not compatible with the DVR or the HDD is faulty.
•
Steps:
1. Verify at least one HDD is installed in the DVR.
a. If not, install a compatible HDD.
If you do not want to install a HDD, select Menu |Configuration | Exceptions, and then un-check the Audible
