Problem
The steam ironing
system switches off
during the descaling
process.
The On/Off indicator
light k lights up
constantly.
The On/Off k indicator
light illuminates during
the descaling process.
The indicator light l
lights up constantly.

Possible cause
The iron or the
steamer was
plugged in during
the descaling
process.
The water container,
or its contents, was
not detected.
The water container,
or its contents, was
not detected.
The steam
generator has
become too hot.
Remedy
Unplug the iron or the steamer
from the steam connection
socket.
Switch the appliance back on.
Fill the water container with fresh
tap water and push it back into
the appliance.
The rinsing or descaling process
may still be active. Wait until the
process has finished.
The setting of the water
hardness level has not been
completed. Ensure this
procedure has been completed.
If the indicator light does not go
out, call Miele.
Push the water container back
into the appliance.
Fill the water container with more
water and push it back into the
appliance.
If the indicator light does not go
out, call Miele.
Allow the steam ironing system
to cool down. After the indicator
light l has gone out, the steam
ironing system is ready to use
again.
If the indicator light does not go
out, call Miele.
