How can I charge the battery if I don't have the key to the trunk

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
March 25, 2025

The battery of a Mercedes-Benz CLS is located in the trunk, but if the key to the trunk is not available, you can use the jump-start terminals in the engine compartment to charge the battery. Follow these steps:

1. Use jumper cables with sufficient cross-section and insulated terminal clamps.
2. Ensure the jumper cables are not near moving parts like pulleys or fans.
3. Connect the jumper cables to the jump-start terminals in the engine compartment.
4. If the battery is completely drained, let the donating power source charge it for several minutes before attempting to start the car.

This allows you to charge or jump-start the battery without accessing the trunk.
