Storing food in the refrigerator section
Do not store explosive materials in
the appliance or any products
containing propellants (e.g. spray
cans).
Danger of explosion.
If storing alcohol with a high
percentage proof, make sure it is
tightly closed, and store upright.
If storing food which contains a lot of
fat or oil in the appliance or the
appliance door, make sure that it
does not come into contact with
plastic components as this could
cause stress cracks or break the
plastic.
Do not place food in front of the
vents at the back of the appliance
as the food could freeze and in
some circumstances could burst
(e.g. bottles).
Food must not touch the back wall
of the appliance, as it may freeze to
the back wall.
To allow air to circulate efficiently,
do not pack food too closely
together in the refrigerator. Make
sure the vents at the back of the
appliance are not covered, as this is
essential for keeping the appliance
cool.
32
Ensure that when placing food in the
refrigerator, a gap of at least 35 mm
is maintained under the ceiling of
the appliance to enable the air to
circulate freely.
Only use the area to the front of the
refrigerator zone floor to place food
temporarily. Do not leave it there, as
when you shut the door it may get
pushed over, causing spillages.
