Setting the Computer Environment

The following device and accessory is needed:
Computer with a LAN Card
*Cross Cable or a HUB

Setting the computer environment.
Must have Internet Explorer 6.0 or above installed.
Please install the internet explorer 6.0 or above through
Windows Update
Must have JRE 1.3.1 or above installed JRE can be
downloaded from http://java.sun.com/j2se or
automatically by connecting to the DMS through the
internet.

Connection Method (Choose one of the two methods list
below.)
Connecting the DMS directly to the computer
Connecting the DMS using a HUB
(Direct Cable)
Note
*Cross Cable:
A cross cable is used when connecting two PCs directly.
A direct cable is used to connect the PC to a HUB, and
a cross cable is used to connect between two PCs or
between a PC and a DMS.
The cross cable can be purchased at any computer
stores.
