When you turn on your Mitsubishi HDTV for the first
time, a Setup screen opens.
Follow the on-screen instructions to continue with
NetCommand setup. See detailed NetCommand
setup instructions starting on page 37 of your TV
Owner's Guide.
Overview
NetCommand® is an intelligent control system that
makes your Mitsubishi HDTV the heart of your home
theater. With NetCommand, the HDTV sends signals
to the other devices in the system, telling them to
play, record, change inputs, adjust volume, change
channels and many more functions. All of this is
accomplished with the HDTV's remote control.
To skip NetCommand setup:
Highlight Cancel on the screen and press ENTER to
skip setup.
The next few times you turn on the TV, a setup
reminder screen will appear. Highlight Cancel and
press ENTER to confirm that you want to skip setup.
After placing the IR Emitters in front of A/V devices,
connect the IR Emitter cable to the NetCommand® IR
Emitter port on the media center. IR Emitters enable
NetCommand to control all connected A/V devices.
To set up NetCommand at a later time:
1. Press TV MENU to open the main TV menu.
2. Select the NetCommand icon and press ENTER.
3. Select Initial and press ENTER.
For complete NetCommand instructions, see Chapters 3
and 4 in the Owner's Guide.
To take advantage of the versatility of your new
HDTV, Mitsubishi recommends that you set up
NetCommand
®
as soon as you finish connecting
your A/V devices and power on the display
and media center for the first time. Although
setting up NetCommand is optional, TV Guide On
Screen
®
can not control connected cable boxes
or record TV programs unless NetCommand is
set up. You also have the option of setting up
NetCommand at a later time.
