Step 1
Use the coiled handset cord to connect the handset to the main case.
Step 2
Use the straight-through cable to connect the local area network (LAN)
interface of the eSpace 6870 to the uplink network interface (for example, the
network interface in your office or at your home).
If you have only one external network port but want to connect the computer
and eSpace 6870 at the same time, perform Step 2 and use another
straight-through network cable to connect the computer to the PC port on the
eSpace 6870.
Step 3
Insert the output end of the specialized power adapter into the power interface
of the eSpace 6870 and the other end into a socket.
Starting the eSpace 6870
After the eSpace 6870 is powered on, a progress bar is displayed on its LCD. You
cannot use the eSpace 6870 until the screen display the time and date normally.

Configuring the eSpace 6870

After installing the eSpace 6870, you need to configure its IP address. According to
different networking requirements, you can choose one of the following modes: static
IP address, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and PPP over Ethernet
(PPPoE).
