4. Unscrew the four large screws located to the left and to the right of the front of the Disk
Expansion Unit.
5. Grasp the handle and pull out the Disk Expansion Unit from the rack slowly and
carefully until a caution label appears on the top cover.
IMPORTANT: Once the caution label is visible, do not use the handle
to hold the unit, but firmly hold the bottom of the unit and carefully
remove it from the rack.

CONNECTING

Connect the Disk Expansion Unit to the NEC Express server through the SAS interface cable,
connect the power cord(s) to the AC inlet(s) of the Disk Expansion Unit and insert the power
plug(s) into the AC outlet(s).
Always observe the following cautions to use the Disk Expansion Unit safely.
Failure to follow these instructions may cause death or serious personal injury.
Refer to the Safety Notes section for more information.
Do not hold the power plug if your hands are wet.
Do not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe.

Make sure to plug in to a proper power source.
Do not connect the power cord to an outlet in which other equipments are
plugged in.
Do not install the devices halfway.
Use the authorized power cord only.
Always pull out the power plug before connecting or disconnecting the
interface cable.
Do not use any interface cables that are not authorized by NEC.
