Filter Replacement
Use the fi lter No. EP-DX40E-902 separately available.
CAUTION
Before replacing the fi lter, be sure to stop the purifi er and unplug the power cord from AC outlet.
Remove the water tank, and then pull out the water tray.
(This procedure should be done to prevent water leakage.)
CAUTION
Remove the panel and the pre-filter.
Remove the used filter.
Install a new filter
Take a new filter out of plastic bag and install it on the unit.
Install the fi lter so that the arrow " FRONT" on the fi lter side
face will face the panel.
Install the pre-filter.
Reinstall the panel on the unit.
Install the water tray, and then mount the water tank.
No cleaning effect is obtainable if the fi lter is installed with plastic bag.
Note
It may also be a cause of malfunction.

Stop the operation, unplug the power cord from AC outlet and contact your dealer for service.

Replacing the Filter
Use a genuine fi lter for the Hitachi Air Purifi er.
Other fi lters may cause unit failure.
When you remove the water tank, water may drip from the tank cap.
Lay a dry cloth before removing the water tank.
