    Cutting Blades To properly sharpen the cutting blades, remove equal amounts of metal from both ends of the blades along the WARNING! Shut the engine off and remove cutting edges, parallel to the trailing edge, at a 25°- 30° angle. Always grind each cutting blade edge equally to ignition key before removing the cutting blade(s) for sharpening or replacement.

The V-belts found on your tractor are a 3⁄8” drive ratchet wrench (set to tighten) into the square hole found in the left-hand deck idler bracket and pivot it specially designed to engage and disengage safely.
  • Page 28 Remove the belt guards by removing the self-tapping screws that fasten them to the deck. See Fig. 7-6. Remove the deck belt from around the two spindle pulleys and the two deck idler pulleys. NOTE: The idler pulleys may have to be loosened, but not removed, in order to remove the belt from around them.

MTD Consumer Group Inc must warrant the EECS on your lawn mower for the period of time listed below provided there has been no abuse, neglect or improper maintenance of your lawn mower.
