Off-hook Transmission (Optional Handset Dialing)

This procedure may be useful

when you want to talk with a
remote party using the optional
handset of the facsimile before
sending a document.
Load the document face down
in the Document Support (see
page 82).
Adjust the resolution and con-
trast if desired (see pages 83
and 84).

Load the Document Pick Up the Handset
(Optional)
Pick up the handset of the fac-
simile.
The unit is connected to the
telephone line and you hear the
dial tone through the speaker of
the handset.

Dial the Facsimile Number
Dial the facsimile number of the
remote party using any of the
four dialing methods.
