Owner Information

You can display some text information on the locked screen.
1. From the Home screen, tap
2. Select the Show owner info on lock screen check box.
3. Enter the texts into the provided field.

Security Settings

The security settings menus let you set encryption options, password visibility, administrator
settings, and credential storage options.

Encryption

You can encrypt the data in your phone and the SD card installed in your phone. You need to
enter the PIN or password for the screen lock for the operation. To set up a PIN or password,
see
Screen Lock
on page 138.
Warning:
Refrain from using the phone, including removing the battery and the SD card,
during the encryption and decryption processes as some or all of your data will
be lost if the encryption and decryption processes are interrupted.
Phone
You can encrypt and decrypt the data in your phone, such as Contacts, Calendar, Email,
settings values, personal data, etc.
1. Charge the battery first.
2. With your phone connected to the power source, on the Home screen, tap
> Security > Encrypt & Decrypt data > Phone.
3. Read the message and tap Next.
4. Enter the PIN or password and tap Next.
5. Read the message and tap Encrypt. The encryption process starts.
To decrypt the data in your phone:
1. Charge the battery first.

> Settings > Lock screen.
> Settings > Lock screen > Owner info.
