What is the easiest way to pull the shaft

To easily pull the shaft on a Sea Ray 340 Sundancer, you can use a custom removal tool made from a 16-inch long 1/2"-20 threaded rod. Attach thick bearing washers on one end and a custom machined puller tool on the other. Use a heavy-wall stainless 2 1/2" tube as a sleeve. After loosening the set screws in the strut, mount the tool, lubricate the nut, washers, and rod with assembly lube, and crank the nut to pull the bearing and shaft out. Repeat the process for the other shaft.
