CAUTION: To disconnect a network cable, first unplug the cable from your computer and then unplug the cable from the network device. Disconnect all network cables from the computer. Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Close the display and turn the computer upside-down on a flat work surface.
After you complete any replacement procedure, ensure you connect any external devices, cards, and cables before turning on your computer. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the computer, use only the battery designed for this particular Dell computer. Do not use batteries designed for other Dell computers.

Installing the Battery Slide the battery into its slot until it clicks into place. After Working Inside Your Computer . Slide the SD card out of the computer.
Installing the ExpressCard Slide the ExpressCard in its slot until it clicks in place. After Working Inside Your Computer . Follow the procedures in Removing the SIM Card Follow the procedures in Before Working On Your Computer . Remove the battery. Press and release the SIM card located on the battery wall.
Remove the display bezel from the computer. Installing the Display Bezel Place the display bezel onto the display assembly. Starting from the top corner, press on the display bezel and work around the entire bezel until it snaps onto the display assembly. Install the battery.
a) Lift the mylar tape and disconnect the low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) cable from the back of the display panel. b) Remove the display panel from the display assembly. Installing the Display Panel Place the display panel to the display assembly. Align the display panel in its original position.
Installing the Camera Place the camera and microphone module on its place. Connect the camera cable. Tighten the screw to secure the camera and microphone module. Place the keyboard into its place until all the metal tabs fit into their positions. Press down on the keyboard to the left and right side ensuring that all the snaps are fully engaged with the computer.

Disengage the optical drive bezel tabs to separate the optical drive bezel from the optical drive. Remove the optical-drive bezel.

Installing the Coin-Cell Battery Place the coin-cell battery on the system board with adhesive side downwards. Connect the coin-cell battery cable to the system board. NOTE: The above display assembly removal procedures are applicable for both Touch and Non- touch versions of the computer. Installing the Display Assembly Tighten the screws that secure the display assembly in place. Insert the WLAN cable through the holes on the chassis. Route the display cable along its compartment and connect the display cables to its connectors on the system board.
