The Quantum always looks for the method set to the highest record priority, best explained in an example: If a system requires that between 8pm and 6am each day it should only record if Motion is seen, at a rate of 2 frames per second per camera. -

This can be done either onto the internal CD/DVD-R writer or via the USB port on the front of the Quantum.
