Insert the battery.

To connect a Canon EOS 30D to a laptop for monitoring, follow these steps:
1. Use the interface cable that came with the camera.
2. Connect one end of the cable to the camera’s
terminal, ensuring the icon on the plug is facing the front of the camera..
3. Connect the other end of the cable to the laptop’s USB port.
4. Turn the camera’s <4> switch to <1> or
