Always wear the Receiver Unit with the Dome. Make sure that the Dome is completely attached to the Receiver Unit.

    Intended use Hearing instruments are intended to improve the hearing of hearing impaired persons. Diagnosis and prescription of a hearing instrument must be performed by hearing health specialists, e.g. ENT doctors, audiologists or acou- sticians. Read and follow the instructions of this user guide to avoid injuries or damage to the hearing instrument.

    General notes on safety NOTICE Your hearing instrument is sensitive to extreme heat, high humidity, strong magnetic fields (> 0.1T), X-rays and mechanical stress. Do not expose your hearing instrument to extreme temperature or high humidity. Do not leave it in direct sunlight. Do not wear it in the shower or when you apply make- up, perfume, aftershave, hairspray or suntan lotion.

    Handling of standard and rechargeable batteries Use standard batteries or rechargeable batte- ries in your hearing instruments. Always use size 312 batteries. Charge the rechargeable batteries before first use. original size Remove the tab on your batteries only when you are ready to use them.

    Handling of standard and rechargeable batteries Inserting the battery Open the battery compartment completely using your fingernail as shown in the illus- tration. Insert the proper size battery so that the "+" symbol on the battery aligns with the "+" marked on the battery compartment.

    Turning your hearing instrument on and off Turn on: Press the push button for 2 seconds to turn the instrument ON. Turn off: Press the push button for 2 seconds to turn the instrument OFF. You can also use the remote control to turn the hea- ring instrument on and off.

    Changing the hearing program Your hearing instruments offer up to 5 hearing pro- grams for specific listening environments. Each time you press the program button, your hea- ring instruments switch to the next program, confir- ming each change with an acoustic signal. Example Turn your hearing instruments on.

    e2e wireless 2.0 Your hearing instruments are equipped with e2e (ear-to- ear) wireless 2.0 technology. Advantages of the wireless functionality: Automatically adjusts both hearing instruments simulta- neously to different listening situations. Allows use of accessories, e.g. a remote control. Provides synchronization of the settings in the system. If you change the volume or program on one hearing in- strument, the other hearing instrument is automatically adjusted.

    Maintenance and care Your hearing instruments are highly sensitive systems. Proper care and handling will ensure the best possible performance. Clean instruments regularly to prevent damage to the hearing instruments and to avoid health problems. Clean your hearing instruments with a soft, dry tissue, as necessary.

    Domes and Receiver Molds Your hearing instrument has either a Dome or a Receiver Mold. Dome Receiver Mold C-Guard Domes and Receiver Molds include integrated C-Guard wax protection system. Full functionality of Domes and Receiver Molds is only assured with a working C-Guard. Have the C-Guard exchanged approximately every three months.

    Domes and Receiver Molds Daily cleaning NOTICE Domes, Receiver Molds and C-Guards are easily dama- ged when handled wrongly. Never use brushes or sharp objects for cleaning. Never use running water or immerse the hearing in- strument. Never use pressure or rotating action while cleaning. Don't spray cerumen solvent directly onto the C-Guard! Do not pull the receiver out of the Receiver Mold.

    Domes and Receiver Molds Replacing the Dome Holding the Receiver Unit in one hand, grasp the Dome between the thumb and index finger of your other hand. Then remove the Dome from the receiver. The new Dome is delivered in a box. Leave the Dome in the box and press the tip of the Receiver Unit into the new Dome as shown in the picture.

    Domes and Receiver Molds Replacing the C-Guard of the Receiver Mold Remove the C-Guard with the back side of the C-Guard tool. The C-Guard can not be re-used after the disassembling process. Insert the new C-Guard. Change the C-Guard approximately every three months, or as needed.

    Handling of the Receiver Unit The Receiver Unit can be changed as needed by your Hearing Care Professional. If you need to replace the Receiver Unit by yourself follow these directions care- fully. Remove Receiver Unit Hold the instrument in one hand and turn the Receiver Unit with the other hand carefully to the left (45º) and remove it.

    Accessories Remote control The wireless function of your hearing instruments allows you to use a remote control to change the program and volume of your hearing instruments. For further information about the remote control, contact your Hearing Care Professional or refer to the remote con- trol user guide.

    Accessories Charger Your hearing instruments work with standard or rechar- geable batteries. With the easy-to-use charger you can charge the rechargeable batteries for one or two hearing instruments. After just five hours of charging, the charger shuts itself off and the hea- ring instruments are ready to run for a day.

    Accessories Tek wireless enhancement Your hearing instruments together with the Tek Connect remote control will allow you to connect your hearing instruments to the growing world of technology. Via a special Bluetooth connection it is possible to receive audio signals from your mobile, your television or your mp3-player.
