Convention for Storage Capacity Values

Physical storage capacity values (e.g., data drive capacity) are calculated
based on the following values:
1 KB = 1,000 bytes
1 MB = 1,000
1 GB = 1,000
1 TB = 1,000
1 PB = 1,000
Logical storage capacity values (e.g., logical device capacity) are calculated
based on the following values:
1 KB = 1,024 (2
1 MB = 1,024 KB or 1,024
1 GB = 1,024 MB or 1,024
1 TB = 1,024 GB or 1,024
1 PB = 1,024 TB or 1,024
1 block = 512 bytes
