To tune into AM radio on a Linn Classik:
1. Ensure the antenna is connected properly. 2. Press the MODE SELECT or appropriate source button to switch to AM mode. 3. Use the TRACK INDEX or tuning buttons to search for stations. 4. Adjust the mute threshold if needed by pressing and holding the SIGNAL button on the handset. Set it between 1 (receive all signals) and 50 (receive only strongest signals).
This allows you to scan and tune into AM radio stations.

Locating the CLASSIK for use with the handset The Linn infra-red remote control system is exceptionally sensitive, and you should be able to operate your CLASSIK with the handset from almost anywhere in a room. For best results the infra-red sensor on the front panel should be kept out of direct sunlight, and it should not be obscured.
The following diagram shows the rear panel connections of the CLASSIK. If the CLASSIK is to be used as an isolated unit, simply connect the two aerials supplied to the appropriate connections. Then connect a pair of loud speakers with the cables supplied to the left and right speaker outputs.
